On Friday evening, President Donald Trump tweeted that he will be making a major announcement concerning “the Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border, and the Shutdown, tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM live from the @WhiteHouse”:
I will be making a major announcement concerning the Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border, and the Shutdown, tomorrow afternoon at 3 P.M., live from the @WhiteHouse.

Neither Trump nor White House would elaborate.
A few hours earlier, Trump tweeted about border security and, in same sentence, said “wall or barrier” as well as “technology or drug detecting equipment.” The latter is what Dems have said they want to focus on, while offering to pay $1 for the wall, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi put it.
Trump will make his announcement on Day 28 of the government shutdown that has ensued over the impasse.
