Donald Trump tweets after Las Vegas mass shooting: 'God bless you!'

President Donald Trump offered his “warmest condolences and sympathies” the victims of Sunday’s mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, which is now the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

“My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!” Trump wrote early Monday.

Trump’s daughter Ivanka also offered her thoughts on the mass shooting over the course of two tweets: “America woke up this morning to the horrific news of a devastating mass shooting in Las Vegas. Our collective hearts are breaking for the victims and their families.”

Vice President Mike Pence added, “To victims, families & loved ones affected by this senseless violence in Las Vegas, Karen & I are praying for you & offering our love…”

Late Sunday night a gunman opened fire on the crowd of the Route 91 Harvest Festival during a performance by Jason Aldean. More than 50 people are dead and at least 200 were injured in the attack.

“Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still don’t know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that me and my crew are safe,” Aldean wrote on Instagram in the aftermath. “My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.”
