Donald Trump Says He Willingly Left 'The Apprentice'
Donald Trump is giving up The Apprentice, at least that's what he told Jake Tapper on CNN'S State of the Union. Trump explained that in order to run for president, he willingly cut ties with NBC, and not the other way around, even though Latino leaders have urged NBC to cancel Trump's shows after he made controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants. "NBC renewed The Apprentice. We had a great season last season. And they would love for me to not be doing this, I will tell you right now… But the Apprentice - I gave up The Apprentice," Trump said. He went on to reiterate what he was leaving behind in order to have a shot at the White House, saying, "I'm giving up hundreds of millions of dollars to do this. I'm giving up a prime time television show. I'm giving that up to do this."
