Donald Trump Rants About Toilets, Dishwashers, And Lightbulbs While Being Impeached

While the House of Representatives was voting to impeach Donald Trump, the President was busy firing up his supporters at a campaign rally in Michigan. He railed against his opponents, specifically the Democrats and their "witch hunt" impeachment proceedings, and suggested that Rep. John Dingell went to hell after he passed this year.

But perhaps the strangest part of the whole event was Trump going on about lightbulbs, dishwashers, and toilets.

MSNBC has the details of the bizarre part of this rally:

“So we're bringing back the old lightbulb. It sounds like a little but it's big stuff. Now we’re doing it with a lot of other things. Uh, dishwashers, and uh, you know. I won’t tell you one of the things because every time I tell you they do a big number on it. You know the one I’m talking about, right? Sinks, right? Showers? And what goes with a sink and a shower?

[Crowd chants, “A toilet!”]

“Ten times, right? Ten times. [Trump does flushing motion while saying something that sounds like ‘bah, bop.’] Not me of course, not me, but you. You. But I never mention that.”

He went on to say that "women tell me" that current dishwashers aren't as effective as they used to be.

This isn't the first time he's brought up the issues of toilets. At a White House meeting earlier this month, he mentioned them.

"We're looking very strongly at sinks and showers and other elements of bathrooms … People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once. They end up using more water," he said during the meeting.

People on social media had jokes about all of this nonsense. "So don't ever shake Donald Trump hands, he never has patience to wait for the water. He is so unclean," one wrote.

"I think you're burying the lede here -- Trump says his followers (and not him) are the ones who need to flush 10 times," another pointed out.

"What in the ever loving hell is he talking about? It’s like watching a comic bomb onstage at a summer resort in the Catskills circa 1962," someone else joked.
