Besides being a businessman, reality TV star and presidential candidate, Donald Trump can also list “professional movie extra” on his résumé. A surprising number of feature films have made room for a Trump cameo over the decades, from Home Alone 2: Lost in New York to Zoolander. The tycoon’s many movie cameos are collected in the above supercut, and some of the titles included here are guaranteed to surprise. For example, did you know that Trump appeared in Woody Allen’s 1998 New York story, Celebrity? (Just imagine how Woody would have directed The Donald on set.) He also played the father of rich kid Waldo, who bedeviled the poor Little Rascals in Penelope Spheeris’ 1994 update of those vintage Our Gang shorts.
Trump’s most substantial(?) acting gig is the 1989 Bo Derek drama, Ghosts Can’t Do It, in which the ‘80s sex symbol plays the wife of a much older man (Anthony Quinn) who kills himself and returns to Earth as a ghost looking for a younger body to inhabit. She also has to continue her husband’s business dealings, which means sitting opposite New York’s biggest, most boastful real estate magnate to practice the art of the deal. “Be assured, Mrs. Scott,” Trump says menacingly. “That in this room there are knives sharp enough to cut you to the bone. And hearts cold enough to eat yours as hors d’oeuvres.” The good news is that Trump picked up an award for this role. The bad news? It was a Razzie.
