Donald Trump Jr. Unleashes Fiery Response After President Trump Is Impeached

Donald Trump Jr is not wasting time on giving his opinion over the impeachment of his father, President Donald Trump. The House of Representatives passed the first charge against the President, abusing power in office, on Wednesday evening on a 230 - 197 vote. The second article of impeachment, obstruction of Congress, was passed shortly afterward.

Moments after news broke that Trump would be the third President of the United States to be impeached, his son took to Instagram for his take on the situation.

"Their best candidate is impeachment... it’s their only viable candidate!" Trump Jr. wrote alongside a video montage of Democrats promising to impeach President Trump.

Trump Jr continued:

"The Democrats know they can’t win on facts, they can’t win on the economy, they can’t win on results, and they have no one who can actually beat Donald Trump. This is why they’ve been pushing this crap for three years. As always they’ve over played their hands and the American people see it for the disgrace that it is."

He strongly feels that the impeachment against his father is a "total partisan sham and everyone knows it."

What Does It Mean?

The House will next vote on whether President Trump obstructed congress.

The abuse of power article alleges that the president pressured Ukraine to interfere in the upcoming election by withholding military aid unless the country’s president announced an investigation into former vice president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

The obstruction of Congress article alleges Trump directed executive branch agencies and officials not to comply with congressional subpoenas.

The next step will be a trial held by the Senate on whether to convict President Trump on the two charges and remove him from office. That will likely go down in January, and will be much harder to push through. However, House Democrats felt it was important to impeach Trump, regardless of what happens in the Senate.

Other Drama for Trump Jr

Along with the impeachment drama in the United States, Trump Jr is facing issues on foreign soil as a summer hunting trip in Mongolia has come under scrutiny by government officials.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said it will review allegations that Trump Jr, may have illegally killed a rare argali sheep and imported parts of the animal back to the U.S, according to Roll Call.

Don Jr is an avid hunter who regularly posts photos of his hunting trips, and did share photos of his trip to Mongolia, however, he claims he did nothing wrong. A statement for Trump Jr. said the trip was purchased before his father became president and all permits were secured in advance. They also deny importing any illegal animal parts.

“Mr. Trump paid for his trip to Mongolia on his own, flew commercial and timely applied and secured all required permits through a third party outfitter — as is standard in the industry,"
