Donald Trump Jr.'s tweet during Kavanaugh hearing sparks harsh words from Jimmy Kimmel
On Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmy Kimmel took issue with a tweet sent out by Donald Trump Jr. during Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. In response to Ford’s discussion about being afraid to fly, Trump Jr. wrote:
I’m no psychology professor but it does seem weird to me that someone could have a selective fear of flying.
Can’t do it to testify but for vacation, well it’s not a problem at all. — Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) September 27, 2018
Kimmel, a frequent critic of the whole Trump family like most late night hosts, did not hold back on going after Trump Jr.“I agree, you're not a psychology professor. You are a dull-witted human canker sore who shoots baby hippos out of daddy's helicopter because it's the only way you can get an erection,” Kimmel said, before continuing after applause and laugher. “Do us a favor, put the Twitter aside. Go rub a tub of Axe extreme hold hair gel on your empty head you chinless son of a circus peanut.”
Trump Jr.’s tweet got plenty of response on Twitter as well, including from an actual psychology professor who claims Trump Jr.’s thinking is wrong. But it’s hard to top Kimmel’s rant, which ended with somewhat of a mic drop moment.“Could there be a dumber thing to be than Donald Trump Jr.?” Kimmel asked.
