Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen has been pitching a reality television show called “The Fixer” in which he helps ordinary people with his “particular set of skills”.

In a teaser for the programme, which has not yet been commissioned, Mr Cohen can be seen walking around Manhattan as he describes how he used to work for a “notoriously bad man”.

“I fixed [Trump’s] problems both professional and personal, gaining power, wealth and notoriety for myself in the process. And I paid the price for it,” Mr Cohen says during the three-minute video obtained by the New York Post.

Amid footage of news outlets reporting on his 2018 jail sentence for committing tax evasion and violating campaign-finance laws, Mr Cohen says he has been on a “journey of redemption”.

“Now I’m paying it forward, wielding the tools that I’ve learned for regular people in trouble,” he adds.

“The little guy doesn’t usually have access to people with my particular set of skills. But that’s all about to change. I’ll work with you, offering expertise, advice, and solutions to fix your problems. Together we will change your life,” he says, adding: “I am your fixer.”

Judge issued a warning

Mr Cohen is expected to take the stand in Mr Trump’s hush money trial on Monday to testify about paying porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to “silence” her about an alleged tryst with Mr Trump in the run-up to the election.

Mr Trump is charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records over allegations he tried to cover up his reimbursements to Mr Cohen.

It comes after Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the trial, on Friday issued a warning to Mr Cohen, telling prosecutors to ask him to stop talking about the case.

Todd Blanche, Mr Trump’s lawyer, asked that Mr Cohen be prohibited from talking about the trial “in the same way president Trump is” restricted.

“I will direct [the prosecutors] to communicate to Mr Cohen that the judge is asking him to refrain from any more statements about this case,” said Mr Merchan.

On Wednesday, Mr Cohen went live on social media platform TikTok wearing a shirt that depicted Mr Trump in an orange jumpsuit, in handcuffs, and behind bars.

Mr Cohen has been selling the t-shirt – which is linked to his Mea Culpa podcast – for £32 since 2022.
