Don Cheadle Refuses to Do Press with Avengers Costar Mark Ruffalo: 'He Runs His Mouth'

Mark Ruffalo has a big mouth — and Don Cheadle doesn’t want any part of it!

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, Cheadle, 54, revealed why he refuses to do press with his Avengers costar.

“He runs his mouth a lot,” Cheadle shared, referencing the fact that Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the superhero series, has been known to accidentally reveal spoilers for the films during interviews.

“Why do I need that hassle?” Cheadle added. “I don’t need to be sitting next to him when he blows the whole reveal of the movie. Him, Tom Holland, they both…little chatty.”

In fact, back in 2017, Cheadle actually was sitting next to Ruffalo when the actor inadvertently spoiled the ending of Avengers: Infinity War.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Ruffalo shared that while all of the films tended to end in climactic ways, the new movie really took things to the next level.

“Wait til you this next one. Everybody dies,” he enthusiastically shared.

“Dude,“ Cheadle interjected, clearly not pleased.

“Not everybody, no,” Ruffalo countered, before seemingly asking his costar whether that was too much information to reveal.

“Hey, whatever,” Cheadle added.

Later on in the interview, Ruffalo can be seen asking Cheadle whether he would get in trouble for the reveal.

“A little,” Cheadle replied, before imploring his costar to “just move on” with the interview, instead of drawing even more attention to the gaffe.

During his interview with Fallon, Cheadle also revealed that during downtime, many of the cast members play Boggle together — and he’s the reigning champion.

Paul Rudd also does well,” he added. “But I actually found the word ‘avengers’ in the last Boggle game we played. Wasn’t set up either.”

The fourth Avengers film is set to open in May 2019.
