Dolph Lundgren is loving married life!

The 66-year-old actor said tying the knot with wife Emma Krokdal last summer "was a good choice."

"I really enjoy it," Lundgren told Fox News of being married, while promoting his latest film, Wanted Man, which he wrote, directed and stars in.

He went on to praise Krokdal, 27, for being a "wonderful" partner not only in life, but in his Hollywood career.

"Emma is a great support. She's very clever," he said, noting that the pair has been collaborating on several projects.

"We're working on a comedy. She helped me on [Wanted Man] as well," the Rocky IV star shared. "She helps me with the script and in production and post-production — just giving me a second opinion."

Lundgren and Krokdal, a Norwegian personal trainer, wed in Mykonos, Greece, on July 13. The actor shared details about the intimate ceremony with PEOPLE at the time.

"We chose to celebrate our love by getting married at our villa in Mykonos with family and a few close friends. With both Covid and a long road of challenging medical treatments, we’ve had to push our marriage plans many times," he said, referring to his 2015 kidney cancer diagnosis and 2020 recurrence of the disease.

"We felt it was finally the right time to celebrate love, life and happiness — in the land of the gods," he added.

The couple — who first met at a Los Angeles Equinox and struck up a friendship that later grew into more — got engaged in June 2020. Lundgren shared the happy news on Instagram, writing, "Something very special happened here in Sweden," alongside a photo of the couple posing together.

In the image, which captured them enjoying a bottle of bubbly on a balcony, Krokdal showed off her engagement ring for the camera.

During a May 2023 interview with journalist Graham Bensinger, Lundgren got candid about the nearly 40-year age difference between him and his now-wife. While he said that their age gap is "severe," he described Krokdal as "an angel that was sent down to help me."

"I feel like Emma is very mature for her age, for sure. She's had an interesting life. She came over here from a small town in Norway," he told Bensinger. "She was married here and she went through a difficult divorce and went through a lot of stuff that most young people her age don't have to deal with."

"So she's quite mature and at the same time, I think I'm quite youthful," he continued. "But you know, I've been with people that are twice her age [who are] less mature than she is.”

Krokdal isn't shy about sharing her love for Lundgren, either. In a touching birthday tribute to her husband back in November, she called the Expend4bles star an "amazing human being."

"A real badass fighting his way through every challenge that comes his way, and smiling while doing it 🫶🏼👊🏻. Love you," she wrote in the Instagram post's caption.
