Dolores Gets Real About Louie, from the PJs to His Beef with Joe Gorga

Dolores Catania was put in the hot seat on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen following the April 4 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and among the many topics she was asked about was none other than Teresa Giudice’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

More specifically, how does she feel about his wearing Teresa and Joe Gorga’s late father’s pajamas? What was her reaction to his emotional argument with Joe? Dolores answered these questions, and along with the rest of her castmates, dished even more about Louie during The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show. Nonno’s pajamas

Louie’s confession came during the March 28 episode of RHONJ as he was trying to make peace with Joe and Melissa Gorga. In the process, he revealed that he wears Nonno’s pajamas to bed to make Teresa’s four daughters “feel safe and loving.”

Andy Cohen asked Dolores on WWHL if she thought the admission was “sweet” or “kinda creepy,” and she responded, “I thought it was meant to be sweet.”

“But I also know Nonno never wore them,” Dolores added, echoing Teresa’s previous comments on the matter. “They were bought and he didn’t get to wear them.”

The Giudices vs. the Gorgas

As RHONJ Season 13 progresses, Teresa and Louie have slowly started to open up about the real reason they’re not on good terms with Joe and Melissa, and vice versa. However, the couples have very different versions of what happened.

Dolores isn’t siding with either of them for now, though. “I haven’t heard the whole story. There’s different things coming out, and I still haven’t heard the whole story,” she said on WWHL. “There’s new things every day.”

Louie’s emotional display

The drama amongst the foursome has resulted in several confrontations, one of which ended with Louie in tears. Melissa referred to the reaction and “his drastic forms of emotion” in general as strange, while Teresa just said she felt “sad” for her husband. What are Dolores’ thoughts on the outburst?

“I think it was a lot of built-up tension going on,” she said on WWHL. “The wedding was coming, and he wanted everybody to be there, and he saw right then and there it wasn’t going to happen.”
