Country music icon Dolly Parton sent fans into a frenzy when she shared a rare throwback photo of her husband Carl Dean on social media.

Taking to her Instagram Wednesday, Parton posted a photo of her and Dean holding hands and posing for the camera. A vintage Dolly Parton t-shirt, featuring an image and logo of Parton, appears to have been photoshopped onto Dean.

“Find you a partner who will support you like my Carl Dean does,” Parton captioned the post.

“Hahaha the queen of photoshop,” one user commented on Parton’s post. “Y’all are adorable. I think this may be the first time I’ve seen a picture Carl Dean.”

Fans gushed about seeing the couple together, with one user commenting the “two make a beautiful couple.” Dean even attracted some adoration himself.

“Carl Dean is super handsome,” another user commented.

Who is Dolly Parton's husband?

In an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” from 1977, Parton revealed she met Dean the first day she arrived in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1964. The two would end up tying the knot two years later.

“I took dirty clothes from home because I was in such a hurry to go, so I had gone to the laundromat, which was the first time that I had ever been to a laundromat,” Parton told Carson. “I put my clothes in the washing machine, and I got a cold drink and I was just walking along the sidewalks, just kind of looking around Nashville. So, this good-looking guy went by in a Chevrolet and me being straight from the country, you speak to everybody.”

In July, Parton dressed up like an original Playboy bunny – donning a black bustier, black gloves, a white and pink bow tie – for Dean’s birthday. "It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl,” the 75-year-old tweeted at the time.

“He still thinks I'm a hot chick after 57 years, and I'm not going to try and talk him out of that," Parton said in a video that accompanied the tweet.

Since her arrival to Nashville in 1964, Parton has transformed herself into a pop cultural titan, winning 10 Grammy awards to date. She also runs an entertainment empire, the Dollywood Company, which has spawned a Tennessee theme park of the same name.
