Even the almighty will of Dolly Parton can't stop Dolly Parton from winning.

After previously requesting to remove herself from the nomination process, the country superstar was inducted Wednesday into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside several of her music industry peers. The 2022 class also includes Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Harry Belafonte, Elizabeth Cotten, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Judas Priest, Allen Grubman, Jimmy Iovine, and Sylvia Robinson.

Parton tweeted that she was "honored and humbled" by her inclusion.

"Of course I will accept it gracefully. Thanks to everyone that voted for me and everyone at the [Rock Hall]," she wrote. "I will continue to work hard and try to live up to the honor."

Following Parton's announcement in March outlining her wishes to exit the nominations list, the Rock Hall released a response rejecting her request to withdraw.

"From its inception, Rock & Roll has had deep roots in Rhythm & Blues and Country music. It is not defined by any one genre, rather a sound that moves youth culture," the statement read. "Dolly Parton's music impacted a generation of young fans and influenced countless artists that followed. Her nomination to be considered for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame followed the same process as all other artists who have been considered."

Parton later changed her tune, adding saying that she'd "accept gracefully" in a recent interview with NPR, during which she was asked what would happen if she was inducted regardless of her claim that she hadn't "earned the right" to be considered a rock act. "I would just say thanks and I'll accept it because the fans vote."

Other 2022 inductees also expressed their gratitude, including Richie.

"The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is the Holy Grail as far as I'm concerned, as far as your peers, who you're in there with, the history, what they all had to go through to get here," the American Idol judge said in Rock Hall video interview posted shortly after the induction announcement. "What I love about the Hall of Fame, each artist has a story. I always tell people every day: It's the music that came out of their stories. When you look at that list of what I'm joining right now, to think about my beginnings and to think about the kid in Alabama all the way to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, it humbles me to even think that I'm in the list because I know what all of them went through.... to be able to join this group, that was a bucket list check right there."
