Dolly Parton will make it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame after all — along with six other performers, including rap icon Eminem, who made the cut on his very first year of eligibility.

Duran Duran, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon also were voted in during the first year they were nominated. Rocker Pat Benatar and new-wave duo the Eurythmics round out the class of 2022 in terms of performers — which emerged from a short list of 17 nominees

In addition, the Rock Hall announced that Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis would win the Music Excellence Award; Harry Belafonte and folk-blues legend Elizabeth Cotten would be honored as early influencers and the Ahmet Ertugun Award for business-side veterans would go to Allen Grubman, Jimmy Iovine and Sylvia Robinson.

This year’s induction ceremony will be held on Nov. 5 at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater. The show will air later on HBO and HBO Max and be simulcast on SiriusXM.
