Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat Of Many Colors’ Sees Record Increase In Live+7
Dolly Parton’s Coat Of Many Colors continues to be a ratings success for NBC. The movie, based on the country star’s song and her upbringing in Tennessee that inspired it, generated a record lift from Live+Same Day to Live+7, according to the network.
In L+7, Coat Of Many Colors grew by 0.61 vs. its L+SD 18-49 rating (1.84 to 2.45) and 2.872 million viewers overall (to 15.9 million from 13.03 million ). That made for the largest L+7 time-shifted increase ever for a movie on the broadcast networks in primetime, excluding live musicals, in both 18-49 and total viewers, NBC says.
Earlier, Coat delivered the largest L+3 time-shifted total-viewer increase ever for a movie on the broadcast networks (up 2.55 million in L+3 vs. L+SD). It remains the most-watched film on the broadcast nets in L+3 since the March 2009 airing of Jesse Stone: Thin Ice (16.02 million).
