Doja Cat has the internet in a frenzy after deleting and reposting a photo of herself wearing a t-shirt featuring controversial comedian Sam Hyde. The alt-right comic reportedly has ties to the neo-Nazi movement.

On Friday (Oct. 6), Doja posted the image to Instagram of herself sitting in a car wearing the shirt, which shows Hyde holding a rifle. The photo has often been used as a meme referring to mass shootings that have happened across America.

The “Demons” rapper deleted the post at first, but later posted another image of her wearing the shirt, but with Hyde cropped out. Doja captioned the photo with many rolling eyes emojis. However, viewers caught the post before its deletion.

“Damn admitting to be anti-jew, anti-gay and anti-Black while Black and cosplaying as gender nonconforming is interesting,” one person wrote. Speaking of Hyde, someone else commented, “Just want to remind everyone that Sam Hyde donated five thousand dollars to a [neo-nazi] website. That tells you everything you need to know about him and her.”

Hyde worked on the Adult Swim show, Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace, which was canceled after one season for having multiple complaints of racist and sexist themes.

According to Complex, Hyde also donated $5,000 to neo-Nazi website Daily Stormer, whose editor allegedly trolled a Jewish woman.

Doja Cat has had a controversial year, as she’s not only showcased her shocking tattoos, but also released edgy singles and music videos from her album Scarlet.

In the Christian Breslauer-directed visual for “Demons,” Doja transformed into a malignant spirit as she terrorized a woman played by Christina Ricci, and her children. With piercing red eyes, charcoal black skin, a tail, and horns protruding from her head, the “Attention” rapper scaled the walls and ceilings, ultimately running the family out of the house.

Before then, Doja got cozy with the grim reaper and fell into the depths of hell in the music video for “Paint The Town Red.” The Planet Her entertainer befriended the devil in the visual and rode a huge horned-creature through the sky.

The Grammy award-winning talent lost many followers after some of her uncanny actions throughout the year, including telling her fans that she doesn’t like them.

“Seeing all these people unfollow me makes me feel like I’ve defeated a large beast that’s been holding me down for so long and it feels like I can reconnect with the people who really matter and love me for who I am and not for who I was,” she wrote at the time in August. “I feel free.”
