The Scarlet Tour, the debut arena run from Doja Cat, made its way through North America in 2023. Each night, the singer and rapper ran through a discography-spanning setlist in a five-part show that featured a giant snake, a spinning stage, masterful choreography, and more. On Jan. 20, the tour will go from the stage to the screen as Doja Cat premieres The Scarlet Tour in VR via Meta Quest Platform.

The Scarlet Tour in VR was captured in December when Doja Cat took over Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The concert was towards the end of the North American leg, with only two other shows remaining. After more than 20 shows, Doja Cat had every moment of the high production down to a science. Her on-stage mastery will be put on display when the VR concert premieres at 5 p.m. PST in Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley.

The trailer prominently features Doja Cat’s hit single “Paint the Town Red,” which appeared on the concert setlist along with Scarlet tracks “Agora Hills,” “Demons,” “Ouchies,” “Wet Vagina,” “Fuck the Girls (FTG),” “Attention,” “Balut,” and more. The rapper also performed career-defining hits like “Tia Tamera,” “Ain’t Shit,” “Need to Know,” “Say So,” Kiss Me More,” Streets,” and more.

The Scarlet Tour in VR was produced and directed by The Diamond Bros in partnership with Meta, with filming aimed at giving viewers the perspective of a front-row experience. The free event will be available to playback in Meta Horizons World for a few weeks following its premiere.

The Scarlet Tour will resume June 2024 as Doja Cat makes her way through Europe with shows in Glasgow, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon, and more. “I don’t think there is a secret necessarily,” the rapper told Rolling Stone last year about figuring out the key ingredients for a show-stopping performance. “You just have to connect with the audience and give it everything you’ve got.”
