Dog The Bounty Hunter Says He Is 'Broke' After Wife Beth Chapman's Death
Dog The Bounty Hunter has admitted he has fallen on tough financial times, after his wife's very expensive 2- year battle with cancer.
Duane 'Dog' Chapman spoke with the New York Times about his current financial situation, where he claims if things don't turn around quickly, he could lose his home.
“I’m broke,” he said bluntly. The reality star attributes his financial situation to years of medical bills and being the leader of a huge family and helping support them took a heavy toll. At the time, he said if he doesn't get the next one, the bank could take his Colorado home.

Dog Chapman Says "I'm Broke"
At the time of the interview, in September of 2019, Dog was about to take on a very large bounty, which seems would solve many of his financial issues. But, Dog was suffering from his own medical issues, a pulmonary embolism, that was slightly standing in the way of his pursuit of the bad guy.
The big hunt, Dog said, he would have to pay $1.5 million if he couldn’t catch the person he was about to start looking for...the person accused of dealing drugs and had fled to California.
While being question about his medical situation by his bounty hunting partner, David Robinson, he said “I can go,” Dog told his partner. “I’m three hours away, David. Just got a blood clot, that’s all.”
Plans For A New Reality Show...
Dog revealed his plans for a new show in the future, he would like to become "Sheriff Dog" and clean up a town somewhere in the mid-west. The issue is...because of a conviction from the 1970's he isn't allowed to be sworn in with a badge. But, Dog says, he can trying and fix that legally and it could be the next big hit show.
As we reported, things got pretty bad emotionally for Dog too after the death of his wife and partner Beth Chapman. On the final episode of their show, 'Dog's Most Wanted' the reality star admitted after the final days he contemplated suicide.
Suicidal After Beth Chapman's Death
“I just hope that I don’t live very much longer without her, because now she made the first step, she’s through the gate,” he said on the show's final episode.
He continued, “She paved a way for me. I want to take a goddamn pain pill so bad. I feel like if I did something to myself right now and passed away suicidal and I got to heaven and was like, ‘Hi honey,’ and would she go, ‘You d*** a**why would you do that?’ Or, would she go, ‘Wow, you’re here.’ I’ll be like ‘Of course I’m here. You left me. I’m here.’ So, am I obligated to do that?”
For now, Dog is concentrating on his own health, saying he is down to two packs a day of cigarettes and is trying to lose weight.
