Netflix will release the first installment of "The Witcher" season 3 Thursday, June 29. The popular fantasy-drama series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, based on a book series of the same name, will continue to follow Geralt, a monster-hunter (or witcher) who uses his supernatural abilities to battle wild beasts and monsters.

The series stars Henry Cavill (Geralt), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), Joey Batey (Jaskier), Eamon Farren (Cahir) and others.

When does season 3 of 'The Witcher' come out?

Season 3 of "The Witcher" will be split into two parts with different premiere dates.

Netflix will release "The Witcher" season 3, volume 1 at 3 a.m. ET Thursday, June 29. The streaming service will release volume 2 on Sunday, July 2. The series is exclusively available on Netflix.
