Ready for your “Sex/Life” to heat up?

Netflix’s passionate drama is back with its second season to steam up your small screens.

The series’ debut season in June 2021 centered on a love triangle between Connecticut housewife Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi), her perfect and safe husband Cooper Connelly (Mike Vogel) and her once emotionally unavailable ex Brad Simon (Adam Demos).

While Billie appreciated her secure life in the suburbs, she couldn’t help but long for the fervor of her previous relationship. When Cooper discovered his wife’s yearning in her journal he became insecure, and their seemingly ideal marriage began to crumble.

When does Season 2 of ‘Sex/Life’ premiere?

Netflix’s “Sex/Life” is streaming its six-part sophomore season now.

The series is inspired by B.B. Easton’s 2016 memoir, “44 Chapters About 4 Men.” Stacy Rukeyser, a former producer of Lifetime’s “Bachelor”-inspired reality romance drama “UnReal,” adapted Easton’s book into a series.

Though Shahi had some reservations about exploring “some pretty raw, vulnerable places” with Billie, she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021, she was drawn to the series because it was “so women-driven” with female writers, directors and producers.

“A lot of times, when you have female sexuality on screen, it’s portrayed through the male POV, but this time, we really put it on its head by portraying everything through the female gaze,” Shahi, 43, said. “So I thought that was just something that was so important to be a part of.”

What happened on the Season 1 finale of ‘Sex/Life?'

Before you start Season 2, you might need a refresh: In the Season 1 finale, “This Must Be the Place,” Billie turned down Brad’s marriage proposal because she didn’t want to lose her life with Cooper. “I love Cooper. And I don’t want a future without him,” she told Brad, who had declared Billie was the One for him.

But Cooper was convinced that his wife loved Brad, so he visited Brad's apartment to see if her ex's feelings were real. Cooper said he would leave his marriage if he was assured Brad would take care of Billie and Cooper's two children. Brad said he would do anything for Billie, but felt she still wanted to be with Cooper.

With renewed faith that his marriage could work out, Cooper went to his son's school for an international fair and defended his wife against some fellow parents. It seems like the two would be able to work things out.

Billie enrolled in graduate school, and appeared to be thriving. The spark in her marriage seemed to be back. But after hearing her friend speak at an event, Billie realized that she was suppressing her desires. Her marriage with Cooper was simply not enough.

So she ran to Brad’s apartment, which Cooper observed via a family tracking app. When Billie arrived, she told Brad that she wanted to have sex with him, but that she didn't intend to leave her husband.

Mild spoiler alert: Some details of Season 2 below

Season 2 resumes where the finaleleft off with Billie at Brad's apartment, six months after his proposal. After a quick kiss, Brad pulls away. He tells Billie it's too late for them to rekindle their romance because Brad's met a model, and they're having a baby.

Billie gets an apartment in the city, and viewers might think they'll get to see her single life, but she quickly gets involved in a romance of her own. This season, Cooper struggles to deal with the fallout of his failed marriage and reconnecting with himself.

Though Billie's friend Sasha Snow (Margaret Odette) has built a successful brand on being independent, her empire is threatened when a former flame comes back into her life.

Will these women get everything they want out of life? Only time will tell.

Are Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos dating in real life?

Shahi and the Australian-born Demos are also each others’ love interests offscreen. The two began dating after meeting on the set of “Sex/Life.”

Shahi filed for divorce from “True Lies” star Steve Howey in June 2020, 11 years after they tied the knot. The former couple share three children together.

Shahi and Demos, 37, appear to be going strong. They held hands at the series’ premiere on Feb. 23 in Los Angeles. In May, Shahi gushed over her boyfriend in an Instagram post celebrating his birthday.

“You never wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Ever," she wrote to Demos: "You greet everyone with a smile that stretches from ear to ear. You exemplify kindness, patience, love, and a consistent work ethic to the bambinos. You constantly ask, ‘what can I do to help?’… To my soul’s first and last dream, happy birthday baby.”
