LEGO Fortnite is here. How to play on Xbox and PlayStation and what to know about Knotroot

Fortnite had a busy week.

Its Big Bang live event with Eminem was on Dec. 2 and Fortnite Battle Royale’s Chapter 5 Season 1: Underground including Peter Griffin from "Family Guy" went live on Dec. 3.

Now another game is on the scene: LEGO Fortnite is out now.

A major aspect of LEGO Fortnite will be the Outfits. With the Fortnite v28.00 update, over 1,200 Outfits will now have the LEGO Styles along with their Fortnite Styles.

You can play in these styles in the new LEGO experiences inside Fortnite, which includes the “survival crafting adventure” LEGO Fortnite.

When does LEGO Fortnite come out?

LEGO Fortnite released at 5 a.m. MST on Thursday, Dec. 7.

How do I join LEGO Fortnite?

You can join LEGO Fortnite on Dec. 7 through the Discover Page. It will be under the “By Epic” section.

LEGO Fortnite is set to be a permanent mode in the game, so you don’t have to worry about rushing through it.

Where to play LEGO Fortnite

The game will offer cross-play between platforms so you can play with friends through PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android. The LEGO Fortnite multiplayer is expected to allow up to eight players per game.

Knotroot is a type of wood in LEGO Fortnite that lets you craft Knotroot Rods, which are used to make a variety of tools. To upgrade from a Wood Pickaxe or Shortsword, you need to find Knotroot.

How to get Knotroot Lego Fortnite

You can find Knotroot inside caves on LEGO Fortnite. Most of the time, a large pile of rocks or mountainous areas will lead you to the entrance of a cave.

Make sure you have enough food and Charms before entering the cave. Once you are in you need to look for roots that are tied into knots. You will need to break them with an Uncommon Forest Axe or higher rarity.

Caves also have chests which can be a source for Knotroot Rods, but these are rare ways to find them.
