It's taken years for it to happen, but fans are finally about to have their moment: "Five Nights at Freddy's" is opening on the big screen at last.

The movie is based on the popular video game — known as 'FNAF' to fans — and is directed by Emma Tammi, who wrote the script along with Scott Cawthon, who created the game, and Seth Cuddeback.

Josh Hutcherson, best known from "The Hunger Games" movies, stars as Mike, a new security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a Chucky Cheese-like restaurant. Only Mike discovers that the animatronic animals are not quite so cute and cuddly after midnight.

The film also stars Piper Rubio, Elizabeth Lail, Matthew Lillard and Mary Stuart Masterson.

When does the 'FNAF' movie come out?

"Five Nights at Freddy's" officially opens in theaters on Friday, Oct. 27. However, tickets are available for earlier showings at Harkins Theatres, AMC and other theaters beginning Thursday, Oct. 26.

When does 'FNAF' come out on Peacock?

"Five Night at Freddy's" will be available for streaming on Peacock on Friday, Oct. 27, the same day it is officially released in theaters.

Will the 'FNAF' movie be rated R?

"Five Nights at Freddy's" is rated PG-13 for strong violent content, bloody images and language.

Will the 'FNAF' movie be for kids?

Given its rating, probably not younger children.
