Dodger A.J. Ellis Makes House Call to Lisa Vanderpump on ‘RHOBH’

On the season premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump got a very special visitor in the form of L.A. Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis. AJ dropped by her palatial Beverly Hills estate to play ball in the yard to prep her for the honor of throwing out the first pitch at famed Dodger Stadium for LGBT Day. While not particularly sporty, Lisa was a great sport as A.J. taught her how to put on a baseball glove (this proved very confusing for someone who’d never done it before) and showed her just how far she’d be pitching between the mound and home plate. As usual, Mr. Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd, was right by her side as she prepped for the big day, encouraging her to choose sensible shoes over fashionable wedge heels, advice she roundly ignored. No matter — she suited up, choosing Vander-pink over Dodger blue, and hit the mound. While she’s not putting any professional pitchers out of work, she threw the ball with gusto, pink hat and all.

Can you believe that this show almost didn’t happen? Here’s Andy Cohen with that story:
