Doctor's orders: Luncheon attendees get the for-real on the future of brain health care

Oh sure, everybody's an expert.

But at the Palm Beach luncheon for Cleveland Clinic Florida, that was actually true.

The annual "Ask the Experts" medical roundtable and lunch took place Dec. 5 at Café Boulud and offered benefactors the opportunity to hear from specialists at CCF's Neurological Institute.

The institute provides state-of-the-art, specialized care for neurological issues including movement disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, dementia, spine conditions, brain tumors and stroke.

In addition to lunch, the afternoon included welcome remarks from CC Weston Hospital board chair Sean Lang and from Dr. Scott Ross, the hospital's vice president and chief medical officer, who introduced the roundtable participants.

They were Dr. Badih Adada, vice chief of the Neuro Institute and division chair for Neurosurgery; Dr. Amre Nouh, division chair for ueurology; CCF neurology specialist Dr. Danita Jones and Dr. Joseph Iannotti, Cleveland Clinic Florida chief of staff, who served as moderator and also reported on research and developments on the horizon.

The luncheon also served as a kickoff event for the Cleveland Clinic Florida Ball, which takes place Feb. 24 at The Breakers and will honor Palm Beach's Vecellio Family with the 2024 Sydell L. Miller Award.

Beth Lang and Monica Maroone are chairwomen for the gala, with Sean Lang and Mike Maroone serving as chairmen.
