Say this for Doc Rivers, you've got to respect his honesty.
The Philadelphia 76ers coach had his team at the top of the Eastern Conference entering Friday, which put him on track to coach the East in the NBA All-Star Game next month. When asked about the possibility before Friday's game, Rivers was blunt:
76ers coach Doc Rivers on possibly wrapping up All-Star coaching berth: “I prefer to golf.”
He laughed and did say it reflects team success. But gotta love the honesty.— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) February 19, 2021

Welp.
To be fair, not wanting to coach in the All-Star Game gives Rivers one more thing he'll probably have in common with his players. All-Star after All-Star has been open about their lack of enthusiasm about assembling in Atlanta to play a game in the middle of the pandemic.
