DJ Yella has revealed that Eazy-E A.I. tracks might be on the way.

During an interview with TMZ, the N.W.A. artist spoke about Eazy’s musical future. He admitted that there wasn’t anything left from his former group and his deceased bandmate. However, he stated that an unnamed figure was working with artificial intelligence to create more Eazy-E music.

“Is there anymore music left from N.W.A? I don’t think so, because I had all the masters,” he said. “I was the last person with Eazy’s last album. All the stuff I had in my hand. I didn’t think nothing about it. We had a bunch of instrumentals, but nothing with tracks, with words.”

“I think somebody’s working on something [with A.I. and] Eazy’s voice. I haven’t heard it yet, but they said it worked great. I’m like, ‘I gotta hear it to believe it…I don’t think you gonna recreate it, you just gonna duplicate. That’s all it is. You ain’t recreating the original. But it’s different, I guess it’s the new thing. You know, ‘technology.’ It would be different, keep that name going. Keep that Compton thing going. Yeah, it’s cool to me.”

Eazy-E’s son, Lil Eazy-E, also spoke to the outlet about new music from his father. He explained that the technology could help recover “some hidden tracks.”

“We’ll see,” he said. “We’ll see how that’s coming. There is, y’know, some hidden tracks out there, so we’ll see how that goes.”

In May, Ice Cube offered his thoughts on using A.I. to make music. He asserted that he didn’t like the technique and called it “demonic.” Cube was asked during a podcast whether he heard the artificial intelligence track mimicking Drake and The Weeknd called “Heart On My Sleeve.”

The Mount Westmore emcee responded, voicing his disapproval of the practice. “I don’t wanna hear an A.I. Drake song,” the veteran said. “Yeah, I don’t wanna hear that bullsh*t. He should sue whoever made it… It’s like a sample. Somebody can’t take your original voice and manipulate it without having to pay…I think A.I. is demonic [and] I think A.I. is going to get a backlash from organic people.”
