DJ Khaled To Serve As Cart Commentator For ‘The Match’ Golf Competition

DJ Khaled is this year’s “cart commentator” for the ninth annual live golf competition, The Match, TNT Sports and Capital One have announced.

The event will see a mix of Pro women and men golfers compete against each other for the first time, live from The Park golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Per a press release, the We The Best CEO will have the important job of providing commentary while following the participants via golf cart throughout the live competition. Six-time Emmy-winner, Ernie Johnson, will also return as host, as Inside the NBA host and Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, commentates.

Adding a honorable twist to the competition’s format, each hole will be worth a specified amount for charity. Four golfers comprised of four-time Major winner Rory McIlroy, 11-time LPGA winner Lexi Thompson, rising golf star Rose Zhang and 2023 Ryder Cup team member Max Homa will go against each other for a good cause.

The golfer who raises the most funds will be declared the winner.

Viewers can watch The Match on TNT, truTV, HLN and Max’s B/R Sports at 6:30 P.M. ET on Monday (Feb. 26).

DJ Khaled is no stranger to the game, as he hosted his own inaugural charity golfing event last year. The We The Best Foundation Golf Classic took place last July at the Miami Beach Golf Club with a star-studded guest-list including Diddy, Quavo, Cedric The Entertainer, Victor Cruz, Odell Beckham Jr. and more.

The Grammy-winning producer raised money to benefit the WTB Foundation and its efforts in education, the arts, and more. Honorably, Khaled was able to donate $20,000 to Fore Life. Inc and $10,000 to Circle of Brotherhood.
