Dixon After Hours Performing Arts Academy reveals camp schedule

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The Dixon After Hours Performing Arts Academy, an intensive music theatre program, is getting ready as its summer performing arts camps are set to begin this month.

According to a press release, the camps for students aged 6-8 and 9-18 are scheduled to be held May 29 through June 29.

Camp times are divided into age groups:

  • Ages 6-8: 8:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m

  • Ages 9-18: 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m

There is no cost to attend the camps, according to the release. Snacks and a camp t-shirt will be provided, according to the release.

During the camps, the release notes that “more than 100 students will put on a Broadway-style musical with high-caliber sets, props, costumes, and professional choreography.” At the end of the camps, a ticketed production of “Matilda, Jr. The Musical” will be held from June 28-29 at the UWF Center of Fine and Performing Arts.
