Dixie Carter Appears On OVW TV, Reunites With EC3

It seems professional wrestling still needs Dixie Carter and EC3 after all.

On a recent episode of OVW TV, newly crowned NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 confronted Jesse Godderz in the ring. The two men are both formerly with IMPACT Wrestling and worked for EC3’s “aunt” Dixie Carter.

EC3 dropped a bombshell on Godderz during the segment with a pre-taped promo from Dixie Carter, which left Godderz flustered in the ring. You can check out that video in the embedded tweet below.

EC3 spoke to WrestleZone’s Managing Editor Bill Pritchard earlier this year about his relationship with “Aunt Dixie” and a sweet story about assisting his “cousin” who suffered a knee injury on a high school field trip.

“Well, yeah. Aunt D — family is family, and times have changed how we’ve all interacted. Sometimes, you lose sight of what’s important, that being family. My sweet, dear, caring, kind, gracious, amazing, smart, successful, loving Aunt Dixie Carter, my family, my blood, my kin, hurt her knee on her high school field trip in Orlando,” EC3 said. “I connected her with the doctor, who therefore connected — I think Brooke Hogan is involved somehow? But Spud was involved; we got a hold of the doctor, and the doctor got the knee brace to somebody that delivered it to my sweet, sweet little cousin, and her high school trip was saved. Life’s good.”
