Disney World likely wasn't the happiest place on Earth for patrons who chose to ride Expedition Everest on Thursday.

According to multiple reports documented by unofficial Disney park news sites The Disney Food Blog and AllEars, riders were stuck on the Animal Kingdom roller coaster for over half hour an due to technical problems. Expedition Everest is a thrill ride that involves train cars going up steep inclines and drops, and has segments where the ride vehicle goes backwards or is in complete darkness.

A representative for Disney didn't immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

"These guests have been stuck on Expedition Everest for 30 minutes!" the tweet's caption read.

Writers of blog also reported that they spoke to a Disney World cast member, who confirmed that the ride had been stuck for about a half hour. The cast member didn't go into details on what caused the ride to stop, but both blogs speculated technical difficulties, which aren't uncommon for the parks' more complicated attractions.

During an unexpected stop, guests are asked to remain calm and seated as the ride could begin moving again at any moment.

According to the official Disney World app, the ride appears to be operating normally as of Friday morning with a typical 25 minute wait time.

Last month, a Disney ride experienced a much more unusual disturbance.

A visitor to Disneyland in California was arrested for removing his clothes and was naked in or near the ‘It’s a Small World’ attraction.

Of the 26-year-old man's state at the time, guest Maegan Carmona told Entertainment Weekly, "He just didn't look like he knew where he was. He looked worried. My friends and I had seen him, and it looked like he was going to jump on us.”

A Disneyland Resort representative told Deadline that the man got off the attraction while it was in motion and park operators stopped the ride when they became aware of the situation.

The musical boat ride, known for its infectious looping chorus, debuted at the New York World’s Fair in 1964, and has remained a highlight for park visitors for more than five decades.
