Disney unveils sneak peek at 'Guardians of the Galaxy' ride
The Marvel universe is coming to Disney California Adventure, and the theme park has revealed its first detailed look at the Guardians of the Galaxy-themed ride set to replace the Tower of Terror.
Originally announced at Comic-Con in July, the attraction is titled Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout and draws inspiration from the 2014 blockbuster starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel as a motley band of interstellar antiheroes.
A new video showcases the setting of the freefall ride, described as “a giant warehouse belonging to the Collector [Benicio del Toro], this huge power-plant kind of a place” where the Guardians are held captive. The color scheme is heavy on oranges, reds, and yellows, with gold and silver accents. Per the video, “It’s going to look like a brand-new attraction.”
