The Disney Store’s STAR WARS Day Offerings Celebrate Darth Maul, Padmé, and More
It’s that time of year again. May the Fourth, a.k.a. Star Wars Day, has arrived. And after that, you’ve got “Revenge of the Fifth,” for those that wish to continue their Star Wars celebrations. As always, the best way to celebrate Star Wars since 1977 has been with all the cool merch. And this year is no different. What is different this year is that 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, so there’s even more cool stuff emphasizing characters from that film, like Darth Maul and Queen Amidala. Here are some of the highlights from this year’s amazing Disney Store offerings:
The Sith Apprentice: Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber
He only made one full appearance in a Star Wars film (and a cameo in Solo), but Darth Maul left a big impression. After all, he had the coolest lightsaber we’d ever seen. Now, you can actually own one. This Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber reproduction features a double hilt with sound effects. It glows red when you attach two of your lightsaber blades to it (sold separately). The lightsaber comes in a gorgeous wooden box featuring images of Lord Maul, and the interior lights up red and plays John Williams’ “Duel of the Fates” when opened. This is a limited edition of 7,000. This bad boy costs $400.00.
Darth Maul Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary Adult Zip Hoodie
If you want to celebrate your love of Darth Maul in a more affordable (and wearable) way, these new Darth Maul-themed Phantom Menace 25th-anniversary zip hoodies are just the thing. This sweat jacket features the horn-headed Sith Lord’s face on the front, with his iconic duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on the back, and the Phantom Menace 25th anniversary logo. Queen Amidala Limited Edition Doll
Natalie Portman’s Queen Amidala of the Naboo had many fierce costumes in The Phantom Menace. If you ask us, however, nothing beats her entrance look, dripping in reds and golds. This 11″ iconic throne room doll features embroidered detailing, faux fur trim, satin lining, and rooted hair. The Queen Amidala doll is a limited edition of 3,100, and is presented in window display packaging. She’s priced at $129.00.
Padmé Amidala Ear Headpiece
Speaking of the Naboo Royal, this Padmé Amidala Ear Headband is perfect for your next trip to a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Inspired by Her Majesty’s throne room ensemble from The Phantom Menace, this simulated golden leather headpiece has beautiful red sequins, topped with a faceted gem. Darth Vader Pyre Helmet
Not all the Star Wars Day products are Phantom Menace-themed. This is a life-size replica of Darth Vader’s melted helmet, identical to the one in Kylo Ren’s quarters in The Force Awakens. This is the same helmet that Luke Skywalker burned on Endor in Return of the Jedi. This detailed replica includes a display base. It’ll set you back $250.00.
