Diplo's Plane Lands Safely After Cracked Window in the Cockpit
Diplo had a window crack open during a flight to Columbus, Ohio on Saturday but he's doing just fine.
The 40-year-old DJ documented the frightening experience on Instagram, explaining that he may have to miss a few scheduled tour dates as a result of the incident.
“My jet window just cracked open and the pilots are wearing masks so not sure ill make my shows tonight,” he wrote.
“But they left the wifi on so I’m just going to sit in the back and smoke toad venom and vlog. I just bought this cool vest in Dallas at a thrift store ….. Also I never told you this but I might b[e] gay,” he wrote, likely referencing the scene in "Almost Famous" where one of the characters abruptly announces, “I’m gay!” during a turbulent flight everyone thinks is about to crash.
Diplo later updated the post’s caption to let his fans know that he had landed safely.
He included two photos from the flight, one that showed the large crack in the window and the pilot wearing what appears to be an oxygen mask, and a second which showed him meditating in the back of the plane.
Diplo (real name: Thomas Wesley Pentz) was still feeling the effects of the scare on Sunday. He wrote up another post on his IG page, saying, "Yesterday I learned that life is fragile so I started a skin care routine .. also if your thinking of dating me or even a one night stand you should hit me up soon cause you never know I could be eaten by an alligator or something on one of my wierd [sic] tours."
