There’s no shortage of Michigan restaurants on Guy Fieri’s hit Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” In one episode, guest star Kid Rock even took Fieri on a Detroit food tour.
So, if you’re looking to try Fieri’s favorite comfort food, we’ve got the list for you. Here’s all the Michigan restaurants that have been featured.
The Cosmos

This space-themed restaurant is famous for its wood-fired pizzas and fun sci-fi atmosphere. Its specialty is the Trust Us — a pizza pie with surprise toppings that change every day.

This small market and restaurant serves fresh fish, chicken and local specialties such as fried gizzards and pig skins. It’s known for its chicken wings that are prepared with a 48-hour dry rub marinade and fried to order.
Capital City BBQ

Fieri’s recommendation: Brisket banh mi, pork and shrimp spring roll
Inside a cellular store, this fusion restaurant serves unique dishes that blend Vietnamese cuisine and American barbeque. A customer favorite is the brisket banh mi — a smoked brisket on a baguette topped with cucumber, cilantro, carrots, onions, jalapenos and Sriracha mayonnaise.
Zaytoon Mediterranean

This small-town restaurant specializes in deep fried chicken gizzards with a wide selection of seasonings. Their fried Twinkies—or Frinkies—are also a fan favorite. Don’t forget to try the Triple “D” Burger that was invented on the show.
The Fly Trap

This “finer diner,” as they call themselves, puts a global twist on the classic diner. Try their "daily buzz" (specials) when you dine-in or get your food "on the fly" (to-go).
Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger

This cafeteria-style burger joint lets you customize your burger to your liking. Burgers are made right in front of you as you select the size, buns, toppings and cheese.

This restaurant under an old hotel serves authentic Polish cuisine. It’s known for serving specialties such as dill pickle soup and Hungarian pancakes, which are fried and topped with a pork goulash.
Supino Pizzeria

Fieri’s recommendation: City Wing Thing Pizza
Though the location featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” is temporarily closed, the pizzeria’s New Center spot is still open for business. This restaurant’s thin crust pizza is topped with fresh ingredients. There are a variety of special pizzas on the menu — such as the City Wing Thing pizza with smoked turkey, cherry peppers, smoked Gouda, mozzarella and roasted garlic.
Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen

Fieri’s recommendation: Mac and cheese, beer
This church-turned-diner is famous for its creamy mac and cheese, which guest star Kid Rock called the “most macked mac & cheese” on his “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” episode. Diners sit in church pews as they’re served American cuisine and craft beer.
Red Haven
4480 S. Hagadorn Road, Okemos

The Purple Carrot food truck that was featured on the show has closed, but its restaurant Red Haven is still open. Red Haven is a farm-to-table restaurant which offers pop-up dining, as well as private dinners and events.
Traffic Jam & Snug
511 W. Canfield St., Detroit
Fieri's recommendations: Pork loin kamatsu salad, braised-beef panini
Traffic Jam & Snug is temporarily closed due to a fire in 2022. The restaurant was known for its eclectic menu items and in-house brewery. The owners have said they hope to reopen, though there are currently no updates. The Free Press attempted to contact owners through the restaurant's Facebook page to get an update and did not receive a reply.
Restaurants that were featured on the show but are no longer operating include The Purple Carrot, Rosie’s Diner, Michigan Brewing Company and Traffic Jam & Snug.
