Diddy’s Son Justin Combs Avoids Jail Time In DUI Plea Deal

Justin Combs has struck a plea deal in his DUI case, that will allow him to avoid any jail time from the incident.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Combs pled no contest to with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher. The other charge of driving under the influence was dismissed.

In July, the son of music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department after being pulled over for a minor traffic offense. Following a pre-trial hearing in August, Justin is now receiving his punishment.

In the plea deal, Justin was sentenced to three years of summary probation. In addition, the "Catfish: The TV Show" star must "enroll and participate in and successfully complete a 3-month licensed first-offender alcohol and other drug education and counseling program."

It should be noted, that charges of DUI rarely result in jail time especially if you are a first-time offender. But, if the person gets multiple DUIs, or doesn't stay out of trouble during the probationary period, it can be a quick trip to the slammer.

According to reports, on June 4, 2023, LAPD pulled Justin over around 8 a.m. on the day of the incident for a traffic offense. At the time, he was taken into custody because cops claimed there was enough probable cause to book him for alleged driving under the influence. The podcast host, however, wasted no time paying for his bond, which was set at $5,000 and walked out of jail almost immediately.

His arrest caused quite a stir between his famous dad and his mother, Misa Hylton, who has often accused the "Act Bad" rapper of leading his son down a corrupt path.

Following Justin's headline-making arrest, Hylton took to social media to call out her former partner. "I'm not protecting no one anymore. Just my son. I'm not with none of that reality TV s—. When is enough?" She wrote.

Referencing his hit song with his love interest Yung Miami, which was trending at the time, the fashion designer laid into the father of her son, writing, "Act BAD. BAD boy. I used to want to be a BAD Girl who chose to be a QUEEN. They are tried and true. I'm not perfect, but I am intentional. The statement "a fish rots from the head down means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor in a family or organization's success, leadership is also the root cause of its failure and demise."

She slammed the successful record executive for his lousy parenting, indicating that her 29-year-old son was under his father's care when he got in trouble with the law. "The truth shall set you free. I should have kept my child with me … Everybody can get it."

Justin's Mom Is Blaming Diddy For The DUI Case

The iconic fashion stylist, who has worked with big names in Hip-Hop such as Lil Kim, continued her rant, bringing Diddy's legal battle about his alcohol brand into the mix.

"How you go from one of the greatest to ever do it to making all your money off alcohol and suing the damn alcohol company?" she lamented. "Sell something healthy that builds people up. I'm sick of it. NOT MINES. Everyone has to sit around for years and act like there isn't anything wrong with them. This is where the buck stops with me. If anything ever happened to my son, GOD FORBID. What is anyone going to say to me?"

Hylton also took a jab at UCLA, where her son played football in 2016 and received an athletic scholarship as a defensive bag. Despite Justin's arrest and Hylton's backlash, the Bad Boy Records founder didn't publicly address his son's run-in with the law at any point.
