Sean “Diddy” Combs doesn’t come to play when it comes to Halloween. In the past, he’s stunned fans and peers alike by stepping outside as Prince, Pennywise, and Heath Ledger’s interpretation of the Joker. For 2023’s spooky holiday, the Bad Boy mogul decided to don the armored suit of Batman — and he has a short film as the iconic character for the world to enjoy.

Today (Nov. 1), Diddy took to social media to show “the Darkest Knight” in action. The clip, which was created alongside Nolan Rugg, Mike Oberlies, and No Love Out West, begins with a shot of Batman and his Tumbler vehicle at a location made famous thanks to the Christopher Nolan-directed Dark Knight trilogy. “I’m tired of the mediocrity, of the shortcuts, of the greed, of empty suits telling us we don’t deserve more,” Diddy states as Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.

After conversing with an associate (played by young talent Lil Arsenio), Batman heads out into the night to fight crime and take down evildoers. The end of the video shows Diddy reading about the caped crusader’s latest display of justice in the morning’s newspaper. “Strike is over, baby. We did it,” he declares as his daughter, Love Combs, looks on.

The cinematic drop serves as the perfect appetizer to OFF THE GRID, a movie inspired by the critically acclaimed R&B release The Love Album: Off The Grid. Starring Ugandan model Eva Apio, the film is centered around two lovers who escape into a world free of outside interference. On working with Apio in her acting debut, Diddy called the collaboration an “incredible experience.” “Her talent and energy brought my vision to life,” he added. In the past, Diddy flexed his range in blockbuster releases like Made, Monster’s Ball, A Raisin In The Sun, Get Him to the Greek, and Draft Day.
