Diddy’s alleged “drug mule” has pleaded not guilty to a possession charge. TMZ reports that Brendan Paul was arraigned in the Maimi-Dade County courtroom on Wednesday (April 24).

Paul’s lawyer, Brian Bieber, entered a not-guilty plea for his client concerning the charge. The former college basketball player was arrested in March at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. Law enforcement allegedly found marijuana-infused treats and cocaine on his person. Paul’s arrest transpired the same day that Diddy’s homes were raided in connection with sex trafficking investigations.

Brendan Paul was previously a D1 college basketball player for Syracuse. After receiving little to no playing time, he transferred to a DII West Virginia school. New York Magazine reports that Paul majored in business and dreamed of becoming a music producer. Brendan graduated from the West Virginia school and became a part of Sean Comb’s entourage in 2022.

The same day that authorities snagged Paul, Combs’ homes were hit with a massive federal raid. Homeland Security stated that the raid was directly connected to a sex trafficking probe. News broke of Comb’s LoveAir LLC private jet was grounded in the Caribbean later that same day.

However, Diddy wasn’t found in his homes or on his private jet, and people began to speculate about his whereabouts. TMZ then released footage showing the disgraced figure pacing at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.

Diddy’s attorney then released a statement regarding the eventful day. Aaron Dyer called out Homeland Security for its excessive search and called it “a gross use of military-level force.”

“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” Dyer released in a statement. “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”

“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations,” Dyer added. “Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name…[This] unprecedented ambush led to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”
