It may be just a little too expensive to go head-to-head with Sean “Diddy” Combs in court. Aside from filing a lawsuit and accusing the music mogul of sexual harassment, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to pay for his legal fees.

On Feb. 5, Jones created a GoFundMe page titled “Help Me Sue Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs” asking for $50,000. At the time of this article’s publication, he received a total of $3,890 from 120 donors. Jones also notes that he may need as much as $300K should the case go to trial.

Although Jones does not mention any of his sexual harassment claims against Diddy on the fundraiser page, he writes, “After working over one year straight on Diddy’s Love Records’ ‘THE LOVE ALBUM: Off The Grid’, as a producer and writer, I find myself fighting for my producer’s rates (money), publishing shares, and royalties for works done on this project.”

The former Revolt CEO was sued by Jones in February 2024 with allegations that the 54-year would unsolicitedly “grope and touch his anus” while working on his fifth studio album. He also claimed that the Bad Boy Records founder forced him to work in the bathroom while he “walked around naked and showered” behind transparent glass.

Jones alleges to have “hundreds of hours of footage and audio recordings of Diddy, his staff, and his guests engaging in illegal activity” and also claims Diddy partied with underage girls which his legal team has fiercely refuted. To add, he alleges the father of six had sex workers, including City Girls’ Yung Miami and Daphne Joy, the mother of 50 Cent’s youngest son.

Philly rapper, Meek Mill, was also named by Jones as someone who allegedly engaged in sexual activity with Diddy. Meek has also denied all claims.

“We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies,” Diddy’s attorney, Shawn Holley stated. “Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

Accusations about the award-winning producer began after Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura’s settled lawsuit which claimed that Diddy sexually abused, assaulted, and trafficked her. Since then, more accusers have come forward — ultimately leading to his Beverly Hills and Miami homes recently being raided by Homeland Security.

Diddy has continued to maintain his innocence with many of his peers offering positive insight about his character.

“LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR,” Diddy expressed in December 2023. “I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED. I WILL FIGHT FOR MY NAME, MY FAMILY AND FOR THE TRUTH. SEAN DIDDY COMBS.”
