'Did You See That?': Lightning Flashes in California Sky Amid Power Outages

Lightning bolts sprawled across the sky over Fontana, California, as storms hit the area on Wednesday, June 22.

ABC7 reported that a number of neighborhoods lost power across Fontana during the storms.

Scott Diamond took this footage showing the intense flashes. He told Storyful that he had lived in Fontana since 1985 and had “never seen lightning like it”.

The National Weather Service warned residents on Thursday to “plan for gusty winds, brief heavy rain, and dangerous lightning” in Los Angeles, the Ventura County mountains, and Antelope Valley. Credit: Scott Diamond via Storyful
