Wednesday night on NBC, the highly anticipated Season 18 finale of “America’s Got Talent” took place with the million dollar champion being crowned on live television. The 11 finalists were: dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, magician Anna DeGuzman, synchronized dancers Murmuration, singer Putri Ariani, acrobatic duo Ramadhani Brothers, chorale group Mzansi Youth Choir, dance group Chibi Unity, singer Lavender Darcangelo, comedian Ahren Belisle, chorale group 82nd Airborne Chorus and wildcard dancers Avantgardey.

As always, it was America who voted for the winning act of the season, and the judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara — merely gave color commentary from the sidelines. One by one, host Terry Crews announced which of the Top 11 acts had made it into the Top 5, and then he continued culling the talent until only one remained.
The Top 5 acts were, in order: dog act Adrian Stoica & Hurricane, female magician Anna DeGuzman, in-sync dance group Murmuration, singer Putri Ariani and danger act Ramadhani Brothers.
That meant the six also-rans were: chorale group 82nd Airborne Chorus, comedian Ahren Belisle, dancers Avantgardey, dance group Chibi Unity, singer Lavender Darcangelo and chorale group Mzansi Youth Choir.
