Did you know that the Louisiana state dog made a special appearance in a children's television show?

The Catahoula leopard dog was on the popular children's show Bluey.

In the episode "Dance Mode", Anthony Field appeared as Postie, a Catahoula who works in the post office.

Field an Australian musician, actor, songwriter and producer best known as the original blue Wiggle on The Wiggles.

Bluey an Australian animated preschool television series premiered on ABC Kids in 2018. The show follows six-year-old Bluey who is a blue heeler puppy. Bluey regularly goes on adventures through imaginative play.

The Catahoula Leopard Dog is one of the only few dog breeds that originated in North America.

In 1979, the Catahoula was officially designated as the state dog of Louisiana.

This breed of dog is a cross between the domestic dog of the Indians of the Catahoula Lake region and the Spanish "war dog" that came through the area in the early 1500s.

The Catahoula is known for its glassy eyes, webbed feet and spotted coat.
