You’re never too old for a trip to Disneyland!

Actor Dick Van Dyke, 97, was spotted exploring the Anaheim, Calif. theme park alongside his wife Arlene Silver, 51, on Monday, Oct. 2. In photos and videos captured by fellow parkgoers, the couple could be seen catching a performance by the Dapper Dans, a barbershop quartet that often performs on Main Street U.S.A.

Disney travel planner Phili Chavez also captured a video of the iconic actor smiling and waving to fans from a balcony, seemingly on the Disneyland Railroad.

Van Dyke, who portrayed the lovable chimney sweep Bert in Disney's Mary Poppins in 1964, was sporting a blue sweater and a white beard, while Silver opted for an all-black outfit.

The Dick Van Dyke Show star is still embracing new experiences at nearly 100. In August, Van Dyke posted a video of himself to Instagram in which he was learning to play the ukulele.

"My first ukulele lesson with @getstartedplayingukulele,” he wrote in the caption. “It’s never too late to start something new.”

When he isn’t exploring Disney or learning to play a new instrument, he enjoys simple family time. In June, PEOPLE reported that Van Dyke attended a major Father’s Day bash with his wife, kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He posted a series of photos from the celebrations to Instagram from the big event.

“I never realized when I was first having kids what I was starting. But, I’m amazed and grateful to have lived long enough to spend Father’s Day with some of my kids, grandchildren AND great grandchildren!! All wonderful, non-toxic people!!” the caption of the post read. “And to share it all with my greatest gift @bijoubox in our magical fairyland @vandymanor I’m a very lucky boy!! @wesvandyke_fineart

Van Dyke still makes occasional appearances on screen. PEOPLE reported in April that he met Days of Our Lives star Drake Hogestyn at the gym, and demanded that he get him a part on the show.

"I said, 'Don't you have any parts for old people? Come on give me one,’” he told Access at the time. “And he took me seriously and got me a part!"

Van Dyke was cast in four episodes that aired in September, in which he played the role of a war veteran, who was also a “mystery man with amnesia.”

Van Dyke also joked via Access: "I have played old men before, but comedy old men. [This is the] first time I have ever just played my 97-year-old self." Silver also appeared alongside him in one of the episodes.

He found out he landed the role on the popular soap opera shortly after competing on season 9 of The Masked Singer.

He was dressed as a gnome, and sang Frank Sinatra's "When You're Smiling." Many guessed that he was Dustin Hoffman or Robert De Niro, PEOPLE reported at the time, but the judges ultimately weren’t able to guess his identity.

"I had never even seen the show when they asked me. So I checked it out and it looked like a lot of fun," he told PEOPLE. "I was positive they wouldn't be able to guess who I was. And I was right!”
