You just knew this cat would find a gig somewhere. Three-plus months after stepping down as CEO of Twitter, Dick Costolo is set as a consultant on the upcoming third season of HBO’s comedy Silicon Valley. It’s a milieu with which he’s somewhat familiar, having joined the San Francisco-based microblogging concern in 2009. Bloomberg reports that the former stand-up comic is spending a couple of days a week working in the writers room for the series, which skewers the tech industry and its movers, shakers and wannabes. “I’m answering questions and describing how interactions would work between executives, VCs, employees, etc,” he told the news org.

Silicon Valley, a collaboration between Mike Judge and Alec Berg, takes a comic look at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. It snagged its first Emmy nom for Outstanding Comedy Series this year, losing out to its lead-out Veep. The comedy starring Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani and Zach Woods was renewed for Season 3 in April.
