Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2022) is based on the book series written by Jeff Kinney. The Wimpy Kid series, which debuted in 2007, consists of 18 volumes in all. The first Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie hit theatres in 2010 after Kinney sold the series’ rights to 20th Century Fox in 2009. Since their release, four live-action films have brought in over $265 million at the box office. The plot revolves around Greg Heffley’s older brother, Rodrick, whose parents want the two kids to get along over the summer.
