Prolific songwriter Diane Warren won the Emmy for best original music and lyrics for “Til It Happens to You” at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards show on Saturday night (Sept. 10).

Sung by Lady Gaga, the powerful anthem appears in The Hunting Ground, a documentary about campus rape in the United States. “Til It Happens to You” was also nominated for an Oscar and Grammy.

Backstage, Warren dedicated her win to famous publicist Ronni Chasen, who was shot and killed while driving home from the film premiere of Burlesque in 2010, Deadline reports.

Other nominees in the category were “Settle For Me” (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), “Good People” (Empire), “A New Season” (Galavant), and “Frozen Lullaby” (Garfunkel and Oates: Trying To Be Special).

The main Emmys ceremony is scheduled to air Sunday, Sept. 18 on ABC.
