During Beyoncé’s LA Renaissance show at SoFi Stadium on her birthday (Sept. 4), Diana Ross serenaded her with a beautiful “Happy Birthday.” A roaring crowd witnessed the two living legends as they excitedly joined hands on stage.

In a video captured by TikTok user @beyhivelive, Bey embraced Ross as she emotionally said, “Thank you so much, you are so amazing. This is the legendary Diana Ross! There would be no me without you and thank you so much for all of your sacrifice and your beauty and your grace.”

“Thank you for opening doors for me. Thank you so much.”

The “Endless Love” songstress beamed, “You sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to me so I wanted to sing it to you.” The beautiful moment between the two stars was captured not only by fans, but a star-studded list of attendees including The Kardashians, Lizzo, Tracee Ellis Ross, and many more.

The Motown legend repaid the 42-year-old icon with the celebratory song, as Bey sang to her in 2019.

For the the Supremes singer’s 75th birthday — held at the Warwick and Hollywood Palladium in LA — Bey was spotted in the crowd by Ross’ daughter Tracee and asked to sing “Happy Birthday.” Guests included Ross’ children Tracee and Evan, Beyoncé and JAY-Z, and many more.

The multifaceted phenom has always been candid about how Ross has inspired her trajectory in music — even so much that she starred in Dreamgirls, which was loosely based on The Supremes.

“She’s an all-around entertainer: a great actor, a good singer, and a beautiful, elegant woman,” Bey spoke of Ross during an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2006.
