‘Dexter’ Turns 10: Where Are They Now?

Oh, how we miss those clever opening credits, which show how truly violent your morning routine can be, if you just look at it from the proper perspective.

We're talking about Dexter, of course, the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning drama about — beloved? — serial killer Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), which debuted 10 years ago on October 1. About that "beloved" thing… why did we all love Dexter so much, when he was so bad? Hall has a theory: "Some people like the bad boy and some people like the boy next door, and [Dexter] sort of manages to present both," the actor told The Guardian. "So I guess he kind of had that broad spectrum of appeal in his twisted way."

In honor of the anniversary — which Showtime is marking with a marathon of 10 fan-favorite episodes — we're taking a look back at the Dexter crew, and what they've been up to since Dexter faked his death and moved to Alaska to become a lumberjack. (And with that, let us never speak of the series finale again.)

The Dexter Fan Marathon — featuring the top 10 episodes as voted by fans — begins Saturday, Oct. 1 at 12 p.m. ET on Showtime.
