Spoiler alert ahead for those who haven’t watched Sunday’s "The Great Food Truck Race" finale on the Food Network.

A Pakistani street food truck based on a Detroit pop-up battled against a vegan food truck vying for a $50,000 grand prize on Sunday's finale in Los Angeles.

Khana, the Detroit pop-up led by head chef Maryam Khan and her team Al Jane and Carl Harris, made the finale and competed against The Easy Vegan. But in the end, as the two teams were deemed to have done equally well up until this final episode, The Easy Vegan beat out Khana by more than a $2,000 total sales margin.

For the last challenge, the two teams could choose only one "special" entrée to make and sell. Easy Vegan’s Pink Tacos outsold Khana’s Science of the Lamb Smashburger with Havarti cheese and tamarind onion jam.

It’s the second time a vegan food truck won "The Great Food Truck Race."

“It’s disappointing, but I am proud of us,” Khan said on the show. "The fact that we made it to the finale is a win in of itself to me. I don't feel anything other than proud."

Khana endured a bit of drama earlier this season when it had to fire one of its team members, Jake Nielsen, on camera, a first for the show, citing a lack of communication. But Khana, shorthanded at two members, was able to replace Nielsen with Carl Harris, a member of the food truck The Block, which was eliminated in a previous episode.

Back with three people, Khan said in Sunday's finale, “there’s nothing we can’t do at this point.”

And Khana start out well; it won the first two challenges. Getting through the challenges wasn’t easy for either team. In the first challenge, each team had to pick a dish from the other team and make it their own. Khana chose Easy Vegan’s Kimchi Grilled Cheese. The Easy Vegan took Khana’s best seller: the Butter Chicken Sandoori.

Khana elevated Easy Vegan’s kimchi grilled cheese to a butter chicken version made Philly cheesesteak-style.

During the challenge, host Tyler Florence added another challenge: The two food trucks were parked at a food festival featuring women chefs and entrepreneurs. Each team had to create a dish using two culinary techniques from a list Florence showed them and present it to chefs at the festival.

Khan decided on a seasoned and seared lamb chop served with a potato croquette. The Easy Vegan made a dumpling dish with caramelized carrot and topped tempura shiso leaf.

Khana nailed the sales challenge with 70 orders to The Easy Vegan’s 48. Khana also won the second challenge with its seared lamb chops.

It was the last challenge that things waned for Khana. Sales started out slow, so slow that Khan, worried they’ve hit a lull, walked up and down Sunset Boulevard trying to drum up business.

Sales picked up eventually, and Khan gained confidence that they are "collecting numbers again and things are looking up." But it wasn’t enough for the win, as The Easy Vegan sold 104 special orders to Khana's 70. The $50,000 grand prize was awarded to The Easy Vegan.
