Detroit 75 Kitchen opens new location at former Sears Auto Center in Troy's Oakland Mall

Detroit 75 Kitchen's shiny new food exhibition kitchen opens Monday in Troy.

The popular food truck, which got its start on Fort Street near Clark and I-75, announced a month ago it would add a second location at the former Oakland Mall Sears Auto Center at 14 Mile Road and I-75. Owners Mike Nassar and his brother, Ahmed, transformed the former auto center, outfitting it for outdoor seating, including picnic tables with umbrellas as well as indoor seating.

Last Wednesday, the Nassars revealed their new exhibition kitchen, posting a tour on Instagram. The tour highlighted some of the equipment that makes their entire operation work.

Mike Nassar, who's also the chef, gave a huge shoutout to Ford in the post.

The Detroit 75 Kitchen is known for its sandwiches from cheesesteaks to shrimp Po’Boys. Many are named after Detroit streets, according to its menu, such as the I-75 Chicken Shawarma and Atwater chicken. There are also smoked chicken wings and garlic cilantro fries, which are not to be missed.

The Troy location of Detroit 75 Kitchen opens Monday, according to the Instagram post. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. This year, Detroit 75 Kitchen also has a spot inside Comerica Park. You can check out the menu at detroit75kitchen.com.
