After close to 20 years, David Fincher’s “The Killer” is finally coming soon.

The Oscar-winning director has been attached to the project since 2007, where “The Killer” was set at Paramount. The film is now at Netflix under Fincher’s overall deal with the streamer, with Michael Fassbender starring in the titular assassin role. “The Killer” is penned by “Seven” and “Fight Club” screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker and marks Fincher’s first film since 2020’s “Mank.” Fincher is collaborating again with “Mank” cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt, who won an Academy Award for his work on the Netflix period biopic after working with Fincher on “Mindhunter.”

Per the official description, “The Killer” follows a cold-blooded assassin who begins to have a psychological crisis in a world with no moral compass. Netflix teased: “Solitary, cold, methodical, and unencumbered by scruples or regrets, a killer waits in the shadows, watching for his next target. Yet, the longer he waits, the more he thinks he’s losing his mind, if not his cool.”

The film is slated to debut on Netflix November 10.
